SYMBOLISM
An androgynous figure with sprawling wings pours march water from cup to cup in an estuary at sunset, flanked by great blue herons. Freshwater meets salt water, day meets night, heat meets cold, and all is patient and still. Herons are birds of exquisite patience and sentinel hunters within liminal, wetland ecosystems. Temperance is a mediator of extremes, and an alchemist. They fully understand each side of the dualities they remix and recombine.
