SYMBOLISM
 
This card explores a nurturing a fertile side of masculinity and authority, while asking us where power comes from, and what it means to be a leader. A pregnant trans man with the head of a cat stands in a pose after Botticelli's "Birth of Venus" on the giant, weathered hand of an ancient man, laden with jeweled rings. The Emperor wears a crown and train of peacock feathers, with tattoos of wild horses and the compass rose on his bare and swollen belly. In the distance, the aurora borealis winds over Jupiter and Saturn above regal, straight pines. In the underground, a fossil of a dinosaur raises a clawed arm over crooked ribs.
